SURVICE employees Jim McNeely and Clark Dutterer attended a tour and briefing at the University of Maryland (UMD) Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Test Site in Hollywood, MD, on Thursday, August 1. Sponsored by the local International Council on Systems Engineering chapter, the event was well attended.
UAS Test Site Director Matt Scassero provided a briefing to the audience, which explained how the test site has grown since its establishment in 2014, and provided a snapshot of his team’s current commercial-, academic-, and defense-related projects. The subsequent facility tour highlighted several ongoing projects, the impressive UMD UAS test site mobile trailer, and several UAS platforms in the high bay hangars.
SURVICE looks forward to collaborating with UMD on UAS-related projects in the future for government or commercial customers!
