SURVICE is proud to have sponsored the second annual Design-Build-Vertical Flight (DBVF) Student Competition run by The Vertical Flight Society. The winners were The Ohio State University in first place, University of Maryland in second, and Penn State University in third. The year-long eVTOL drone competition, which culminated in a final flyoff last week, was hosted by the U.S. Army Research Laboratory at their R2C2 facility in Baltimore County, MD.
Nine universities from across North America participated over the course of the challenging competition, and $5,000 was awarded. SURVICE was honored to host the awards luncheon and ceremony at our Applied Technology Operation in Churchville, MD.
