Jay looks up to his father, an Army veteran who fought in WWII and the Korean War.
He provides some insight on his dad and being a military child: “Our family has always been taught to cherish and appreciate the honor and privilege of being an American. The VFW parades and meetings were a highlight of my childhood, and listening to the stories of all the veterans who served before me was truly special. His influence was one of the reasons I wore the uniform.”
