Belcamp, MD – December 8, 2013: SURVICE is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the Baltimore Sun’s Top Workplaces in 2013. This is the second year in a row that the company has been selected for the honor. The selection was based on a large number of positive responses to an employee survey collected by WorkplaceDynamics, a survey firm that partners with leading publishers around the country to produce regional Top Workplace lists.
SURVICE was ranked 27th among 65 small companies chosen from the Baltimore metro area. The rankings were built from anonymous employee responses to an array of questions regarding training, worklife balance, company management, vision and leadership, goal execution, employee appreciation/motivation, pay and benefits, and retention and referral.
“SURVICE has worked hard not only to provide our employees with challenging work and good pay,” said SURVICE CEO Jeff Foulk, “but also to maintain a small, family business culture where employees have flexibility, have input in decision-making, and are recognized and valued by senior management.”
The following are examples of some of the employee responses that led to SURVICE’s selection:
“SURVICE Engineering is a company that provides a great working atmosphere, team work, training, and opportunities to broaden career aspirations.”
“SURVICE has been successful at branching out in new directions from its original survivability core. This provides an exciting dynamic as well as new opportunities.”
“SURVICE managers make their presence known versus hiding in their offices for only managers to approach. They are seen in the hallways and acknowledge your presence. I feel if I have questions they are available to help me answer them.”
