SURVICE and Malloy Aeronautics LTD, along with the Harford County Airport, are proud to announce that we were recently designated as a Drone Center of Excellence!
On October 23, representatives for U.S. Sens. Ben Cardin, Chris Van Hollen, and Rep. Andy Harris; officials from Maryland Department of Commerce; state legislators; and local officials attended our designation ceremony. Ms. Karen Holt (Director, Harford County Office of Economic Development) served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
“Drones have unleashed amazing capabilities for delivering payloads and sending real-time information to users in commercial operations, public safety, and our nation’s defense,” County Executive Cassilly said. “I am excited that the next generation of drone technologies is being developed right here in Harford County and proud to recognize these efforts.”
SURVICE VP of Applied Engineering and Applied Technology Operation Manager Mark Butkiewicz remarked that he “is exceedingly proud to be working with a world-class team of engineering talent worthy of the designation that’s been bestowed upon us as a Drone Center of Excellence.” He continued by remarking that “this designation will also help us expand to areas outside of military uses, such as disaster, humanitarian relief, search and rescue, and other related emergency services. So on behalf of myself and every member of the SURVICE/Malloy team, I accept this credit, this recognition, and also express my appreciation.”
