SURVICE had the opportunity to host a vest presentation for the “Protect the Paws: A K-9 Cause” organization today at their Belcamp office. Featured at the event were 11 police K-9 units from state and local police agencies. Colleen and Thomas Stein presented K-9 officers with custom-made, Level II bullet-proof vests and oxygen for their K-9’s protection.
Protect The Paws: A K-9 Cause, a Miami-based organization (www.protectthepaws.org), raises money to purchase ballistics vests for police K-9 units around the country. Their mission is to protect the most vulnerable officers–the K-9’s. The K-9 units at MTA, Cecil, and Baltimore Counties are still in need of vests.
