Camp Pendleton, CA – The Joint Tactical Aerial Resupply Vehicle (JTARV)—for which SURVICE is serving as the systems integrator—was recently field-tested as part of the Marine Corps’ cargo unmanned logistics system (C-ULS) testing and tactical readiness exercise (TRX) at Camp Pendleton, CA. The purpose of the testing, which was conducted by the Marine Corps Special Operations Command’s 1st Marine Raider Support Battalion (MRSB) from 6 to 11 July, was to better understand and assess the ability of the C-ULS to autonomously provide immediate medical resupply to a forward unit, such as a Marine Corps special forces team.
During the TRX, the JTARV 10 and 50 platforms were used in multiple day and night training events and experiments, with testers assessing the system’s flight range, travel speed, altitude, weight, balance, load-bearing abilities, cargo-rigging procedures, inspection procedures, etc.
The JTARV is being jointly developed/fielded by Malloy Aeronautics, SURVICE, the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center, and the U.S. Marine Corps.
