The HDIAC (Homeland Defense & Security Information Analysis Center), operated by SURVICE Engineering, hosted the Mixed Hazardous Waste – Consequence Management Table Top Exercise. This exercise brought together over 50 first responders, emergency managers, researchers, and policy analysts to examine a scenario in which a mixed hazardous waste (i.e., radiological and chemical) device is detonated among the civilian population and near critical infrastructure.
